On the afternoon of September 9, at the 6th Session (specialized session), the 11th Tay Ninh Provincial People's Council conducted the consolidation of many leadership positions of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; and at the same time considered and approved important resolutions.
At the meeting, after listening to the Personnel Presentations, the Provincial People's Council proceeded to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung from the position of Chairman of the 11th Provincial People's Council and dismissed him from his duties as a delegate of the 11th Tay Ninh Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031 - Deputy Standing Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee who was transferred, assigned, and appointed by the Politburo to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, holding the position of Deputy Standing Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Following that, the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Council also voted to approve the Resolution dismissing Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and dismissing Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam from the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee - former Commander of the Provincial Military Command, due to job transfer.
Based on the personnel introduction reports, the Provincial People's Council elected Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Council of the XI term, term 2026 – 2031.
Also at this session, the Provincial People's Council dismissed Ms. Nguyen Dai Thy from the position of Standing Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of the XI term; at the same time, delegates voted to approve the Resolution to elect 2 Vice Chairmen of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee for the term 2026 - 2031 for Ms. Nguyen Dai Thy, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Mr. Truong Thanh Liem, Provincial Party Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board. The Provincial People's Council also elected Mr. Tran Van Cu, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, to hold the position of Member of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee of the XI term, term 2026 - 2031.
Speaking to receive the assignment, the new Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hong Thanh thanked the trust of the Provincial People's Council delegates, the trust of voters and the People. He identified this as an honor and a great responsibility; committed to working with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to promote solidarity, enhance responsibility and successfully complete assigned tasks.
In his new position, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh affirmed that he will seriously absorb the direction, improve management and administration capacity and focus on directing the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh (born 1972, from Thanh Duc commune, Tay Ninh province); holds a Bachelor of Political Theory, Master of Economic Law, Bachelor of Law. During his work, comrade Nguyen Hong Thanh held the positions of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission, Head of the Legal Affairs Commission, Provincial People's Council and Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee.
