On the afternoon of August 15, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organizing Committee coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials to organize a ceremony to announce the decision to appoint key leaders of the unit.
At the ceremony, Mr. Duong Trong Hieu - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organization Committee presented the decision of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to appoint the Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Van Y - Deputy Director in charge of the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials, holds the position of Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials.
Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Van Y takes on the position of Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials, replacing Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Tan Phat, who has just been transferred and appointed to join the Party Executive Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Saigon Ward Party Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Van Y was born in 1967, from Tien Giang province (now Dong Thap province), has a PhD in Education, and a high level of political theory.
On the same occasion, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also appointed Dr. Pham Ngoc Loi - Head of the Training Management Department, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials.
Dr. Pham Ngoc Loi was born in 1975, from Dong Thap province, has a PhD in Party building and state government, and a senior political theory.
Speaking at the assignment, Mr. Duong Trong Hieu said that the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has developed a project to bring the Ho Chi Minh City Civil Servants' Academy to meet the standards of a level 2 political school.
To achieve this goal, the staff and lecturers of the academy need to fully meet the prescribed standards, while promoting the spirit of solidarity and creativity in training and fostering.
The Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organizing Committee expressed his hope that the two newly appointed personnel will continue to affirm their core role in leadership and management; focus on training human resources with heart, vision, and strong political will, contributing to building Ho Chi Minh City into a strong growth pole of the whole country, accompanying the whole country in the new era of development.
Speaking on receiving the assignment, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Y thanked the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City for trusting and assigning the important responsibility, and at the same time hoped to continue to receive the attention and close direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the city leaders to successfully complete the task, especially in the new period.
Mr. Nguyen Van Y identified 4 key tasks of the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials in the coming time, including:
Become a center for innovation in thinking, public policy and public administration of the city.
Summarize practical practice, develop theories on the two-level local government model and specific institutions of super urban areas.
Develop specialized training and development programs to meet the requirements of developing new space in Ho Chi Minh City.
Organize specialized training courses on innovative governance, system thinking, leadership skills and adaptation in the context of changing environments and policies.
