On the evening of September 19, Dien Bien province coordinated with the expanded Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City to organize the opening ceremony of the Northwest - Dien Bien Expected Flowers Festival in 2025, with the theme "Closing the Sky Cloud Strip - Stretching to the Northwest".
Participating were Central Party Committee member, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan; representatives of central ministries and branches; leaders of the Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City; Ambassadors of countries and international organizations in Vietnam; leaders of localities of Laos, China, Thailand, Russia, Algeria, France...
In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Quoc Cuong - Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee said that the Northwest - Dien Bien quintessence Festival 2025 will be held with many rich and unique activities.
It is estimated that in 2025, the expanded Northwestern provinces will welcome over 35.5 million visitors, an increase of 5 times compared to 2021.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan said that if the spirit of "Dien Bien Phu" once made the history of the Vietnamese people glorious, today, we are witnessing a spirit of "New Dien Bien Phu" in cultural development, originating from this land.
It is a spirit of solidarity, constantly creating, strong determination to spread the quintessence of Northwest culture to the world, bringing Vietnamese identity into harmony with the global cultural flow of progress" - the Vice President emphasized.
The Vice President hopes that domestic and foreign enterprises will pay attention to researching, surveying, proposing and implementing investment projects of reasonable scale, as a driving force for developing Northwest tourism worthy of the potential and advantages of the region.
The opening art program of the Festival "Tinh hoa Tay Bac - Dien Bien 2025" was elaborately staged, combining tradition and modernity, divided into 4 chapters.
The main stage is arranged in the form of a semi-headland, creating a harmonious whole between the ground and the water surface.
The opening night featured a group of famous artists who are loved by many artists such as: Thu Minh, Tang Duy Tan, Ha Le, Oplus, Da LAB, Mai Quinn, Bao Tram, Rapper Rica...
Within the framework of the Festival, visitors can also participate in many activities, such as: displaying tourist destinations of the expanded Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City; Northwestern food festival; beautiful photo exhibition "Northwestern Colors" and art exchange program on the evening of September 21.
Along with that is the "Tinh hoa Tay Bac" street festival at the Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument and Vo Nguyen Giap Street, with the participation of nearly 1,000 people, on the evening of September 20.
