Dien Bien - Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded scholarships to students of Dien Bien Province Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities.

On September 20, Central Party Committee member and Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and presented scholarships to students of Dien Bien Province Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities.

Accompanying the central working delegation were Mr. Tran Tien Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Thanh Do - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Muong A Vang - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

At Dien Bien Province Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities, the Vice President directly awarded 30 scholarships to outstanding students who overcame difficulties to study well, contributing to giving them more motivation to strive to become quality human resources for the locality and the country.

In addition, the Vice President also presented the school with a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh and a modern LED screen to serve teaching and learning.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts to overcome difficulties and the studious spirit of students of Dien Bien Province Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities in particular and students of all ethnic groups in Dien Bien province in general.

The Vice President hopes that students will continue to be good-natured, study well, strive to become useful citizens, contributing to the development of their homeland and country; teachers will continue to innovate teaching methods, focus on nurturing life skills for students, helping them have a solid foundation to integrate in the new era.

The Vice President suggested that Dien Bien province needs to clearly identify to invest in education and training, science and technology in a systematic, substantial and effective manner.

Also on this occasion, the Vice President awarded a scholarship worth 200 million VND to students in difficult circumstances in Dien Bien province.

Previously, during a working trip to Dien Bien (September 19), Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and presented gifts to families of meritorious people in Dien Bien Phu ward; attended and delivered the opening speech of the Northwest - Dien Bien quintessence Festival in 2025.

After 69 years of construction and development, Dien Bien Province Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities has become a bright spot in the province's education work. Currently, the school has 28 classes with 980 students.

Every year, over 90% of students achieve Good or enough academic performance; over 99% achieve Good or enough conduct and the high school graduation rate is always maintained at 100%. In particular, more than 85% of students are admitted to universities, many of whom are in top schools.
