According to the Decision, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung is the Head of the Steering Committee.
The Deputy Heads of the Committee include: Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Minister of Finance (Standing Deputy Head of the Committee); Mr. Tran Duc Thang, Acting Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van, President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.
The Steering Committee is responsible for assisting the Prime Minister in researching, consulting, recommending, and proposing directions and solutions to solve important, inter-sectoral problems related to the development of collective economies and cooperatives.
At the same time, help the Prime Minister direct and coordinate activities between ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government, localities and relevant agencies and organizations in solving important, inter-sectoral issues on collective economic development and cooperatives.
The Ministry of Finance is the Standing agency of the Steering Committee, responsible for perfecting the Office of the National Steering Committee on Collective Economy to assist the Steering Committee; on the basis of using the apparatus of the Department of Development of Private Enterprises and Collective Economy and concurrent civil servants of the relevant ministries and agencies; ensuring no increase in the organization of the apparatus and creating civil servant positions.
This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation and replaces Decision No. 1242/QD-TTg dated October 25, 2023 of the Prime Minister to complete the Steering Committee for innovation and development of collective economy and cooperatives.
