Announcing the inspection results
Reporting to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. T.G (name changed; residing in Can hamlet, Van Phu commune, Thai Nguyen province) said that his father, Mr. T.V.K, is the common name for 2 households using electricity but the two households in two different hamlets of Van Phu commune.
In which, an address in Can hamlet was used by Mr. G's family for electricity and an invoice in Dien hamlet was used by Mr. T.V.K and his wife.
"The meters of two different households are in my father's name," Mr. G said, affirming that the two households used completely different electricity. Mr. G's family has 4 members, 2 adults, 2 children, using many electrical equipment such as refrigerators, air conditioners, and his family also runs a clothing business.
Mr. G's family has only two grandparents, electricity for normal use, and does not use as much electrical equipment as his family.

However, according to Mr. G, surprisingly, in the July electricity bill, both invoices were identical, not some were wrong, at the same level of 1,019,358 VND/month.
Not stopping there, the August bill just received, Mr. G was surprised when his family's electricity bill was still 1,019,358 VND/month; while his father's bill was only a small change, 1,004,886 VND.
According to a report by Thai Nguyen Power Company, remote measurement data and electricity bills in recent months for customers with feedback are completely consistent.
Accordingly, with the customer code PA04DT4036*** (Mr. T.V.K): In June 2025, the end of the long-term measurement period was 12,600.
In July 2025, the end of the long-term measurement period was 12,961 → the consumption output in July was 361kWh, according to the bill.
In August 2025, the end of the long-term measurement period was 13,322 → the August consumption output continued to be 361kWh, matching the bill.
For customer code PA04DT1016*** (also of Mr. T.V.K): In June 2025, the end of the long-term measurement period was 8,755.
In July 2025, the end of the long-term measurement period was 9,116 → the July consumption output was 361kWh, in line with the bill.
In August 2025, the end of the long-term measurement period was 9,473 → the August consumption output was also 361kWh, matching the bill.
Thus, the electricity consumption in July and August of customer code PA04DT4036*** is equal to the output in July of customer code PA04DT1016*** of 361kWh. However, the early and late indexes of the two customer codes are completely different.
Thai Nguyen Power Company affirmed that the finalization and entry of indicators on the CMIS system are based on remote measurement data, ensuring that the issuance invoices are in accordance with actual output.

Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) has directed Power Companies (EUCPs) to review and handle customer feedback, and at the same time announce the following full information: According to the summary report from EVN's EUCPs, the units have reviewed and compiled data on customers whose electricity consumption in August increased by 30% or more compared to July.
The results show that more than 3.2 million customers (equivalent to more than 10% of the total 31.88 million household customers managed and sold by EVN) have significantly increased their electricity consumption in the past month.

According to data from the Customer Care Centers of credit institutions, as well as monitoring feedback on social networks, up to now, there have been about 500 customer feedback about the high August electricity bill. The information reflected has been urgently reviewed and clarified by the units to respond and provide information to customers.
Regarding the reason, in the past August, especially in the first half of the month, many areas in the North experienced a period of severe heat, leading to a very high increase in electricity consumption. Even on August 4, 2025, the electricity consumption in the North reached a record high.
In addition to explaining information related to electricity bills, electricity units have also increased instructions for customers to install applications (according to each TCTDL) to facilitate self-monitoring of daily electricity consumption.
According to statistics from the Northern TCTDL, in August 2025, hotline 19006769 recorded 171,723 arrivals, of which 150,387 were received, reaching a rate of 87.58%. The number of calls is more concentrated in hot weather, so during these times, some customer calls may not be received in time.
Notably, in the content reflecting on social networks about electricity bills, there are many posts or opinions in groups that cannot verify specific customer information, so EVN cannot check authenticity.
In addition, there were also some false reflections or posted for the purpose of attracting views and selling online. According to EVN's statistics, there are many cases where customers report that they are not customers buying electricity directly from EVN, but buying electricity from retail electricity buyers.
