Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang requests Dien Bien to promote disbursement of public investment capital

Dien Bien - On the morning of April 28, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation (NA Delegation) organized a meeting with voters after the First Session, 16th National Assembly.

Attending the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang; Mr. Tran Tien Dung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dien Bien province.

The conference is organized in a direct combined online form from the central bridge point at the meeting room of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, connecting to 45 communes and wards in the province.

At the conference, voters proposed and recommended contents related to the policy regime of the Party Committee, the salary regime of teachers, the allowance regime for Heads and Deputy Heads of Commune-level People's Councils, concurrently for Chairmen of Commune-level People's Councils; the merger of villages and residential groups in localities and investment in traffic routes.

Accepting voters' opinions and recommendations related to the province's authority, Mr. Le Van Luong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has responded to voters' concerns and proposals, and will summarize the proposals and recommendations to send to the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and competent levels and sectors for consideration.

Quickly informing voters throughout the province about the First Session of the 16th National Assembly and the socio-economic situation of the country, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang emphasized that, to achieve the double-digit growth target, it is proposed that Dien Bien province continue to promote the allocation and disbursement of public investment capital.

Identifying promoting public investment as one of the top important political tasks of 2026 and the entire term, in parallel with that, it is necessary to ensure the quality of works and improve the efficiency of using public investment capital.

At the same time, save on regular expenses, especially expenses for conferences, seminars, and business trips at home and abroad to allocate resources for development investment and social security tasks, in accordance with the direction of the Central Government.

Regarding the proposals and recommendations of voters, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang explained and informed voters about the contents that voters are concerned about, regarding the project to upgrade National Highway 12 to A Pa Chai border gate and the project to upgrade and renovate National Highway 279.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that, based on the review of localities, the Government will direct the Ministry of Finance to continue to advise on the expected public investment capital from the state budget for the period 2026 - 2030 of each ministry, central agency and locality as a basis for ministries, central agencies and localities to develop public investment plans suitable to the capital capacity notified by competent authorities.

Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House; General Vo Nguyen Giap Temple Area, Muong Phang commune; Dien Bien Phu Battlefield Martyrs Temple and visited martyrs' cemeteries in the province.
