Workers' Month 2026 of Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation has the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity".
Activities during Workers' Month are organized in conjunction with the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day May 1.
Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation also set out specific striving targets such as: having 70% of enterprises with 100 or more employees implement at least 1 activity to respond to Workers' Month and spread on the media.
100% of grassroots trade unions in administrative and non-business sectors organize activities to care for union members.
In particular, strive for 10% of union members and workers to participate in proposing initiatives and solutions to improve labor productivity. In which, at least 30% of initiatives are directly applied in practice at units and enterprises.
One of the key activities throughout Workers' Month is the organization of the "May Dialogue" program and the forum "Union members contribute ideas to build Vietnam Trade Unions in the new era".
Trade union levels will proactively advise heads of Party committees, authorities and employers to directly contact and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers.
Along with that, the "Thank you workers" program will be implemented to comprehensively care for the material and spiritual lives of workers.
Specifically, trade union levels will organize visits and support for workers in difficult circumstances, who have had labor accidents, suffer from dangerous diseases or have reduced income.
Deploying "Trade Union Meals", mobilizing businesses to improve the quality of lunch meals and supplement meals for overtime workers working in hazardous environments.
Organize welfare booths, preferential discount programs for workers at enterprises and boarding houses. Coordinate to organize specialized health check-ups, psychological and reproductive health counseling for workers.

According to Mr. Tan Minh Long - Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation, the new point in this year's series of activities is the focus on improving digital skills for workers.
The Labor Federation will organize the "Labor Skills - Sustainable Employment" Day, focusing on vocational skills counseling to help workers adapt to the context of digital transformation and green transformation.
In particular, the trade union will launch a short video writing contest on digital platforms to vividly introduce the lives of workers and spread benefits when participating in the Trade Union organization.
