Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 1069/QD-TTg dated October 1, 2024 on supplementing and perfecting members of the National Committee on digital transformation.
According to the decision, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, was appointed as Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Committee on Digital Transformation, replacing Mr. Tran Luu Quang, former Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, who was assigned to hold the position of Head of Central Economy;
Appoint Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh, Minister of Justice, as a member of the National Committee on digital transformation.
The National Committee on Digital Transformation has the function of researching and proposing to the Government and the Prime Minister and assisting the Government and the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating the implementation of policies, strategies, mechanisms and policies to create a legal environment to promote the national digital transformation process, closely linked with administrative reform.
In addition, building and developing e-Government, digital Government, digital economy, digital society and smart cities; facilitating the implementation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Vietnam.
At the same time, give opinions on strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, projects related to digital transformation; building and developing e-Government, digital Government, digital economy, digital society and smart cities under the decision-making authority of the Government and Prime Minister.
In addition, it helps the Government and the Prime Minister direct ministries, branches and localities to implement digital transformation goals, tasks and solutions, build and develop e-Government, digital Government, digital economy, digital society and smart cities.
Coordinate the implementation of cross-sectoral strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, projects, and solutions on digital transformation, building and developing e-Government, digital Government, digital economy, digital society, and smart cities.
Coordinate the implementation of the National Digital Transformation Program; monitor and coordinate the implementation of related contents of the National Strategy on the Fourth Industrial Revolution to 2030.
Assist the Government and the Prime Minister in urging and inspecting the implementation of cross-sectoral strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, projects, and solutions on digital transformation, building and developing e-Government, digital Government, digital economy, digital society, and smart cities; urge the implementation of the National Digital Transformation Program.
Summarize and evaluate the situation and results of implementing key tasks and solutions on digital transformation; building and developing e-Government, digital Government, digital economy, digital society and smart cities.
