The armed forces of Military Region 1 were honored to be awarded 1 Gold Star Order, 2 Ho Chi Minh Orders, 1 Second-class Independence Order; 2 First-class Military Service Orders, 1 Third-class Military Service Order and 2 Fatherland Protection Orders by the Party and State.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Central Military Commission, General Secretary and President To Lam awarded the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" to Military Region 1.
This is a noble award of the Party, State and people, recognizing the particularly outstanding achievements of generations of officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Military Region 1 in more than 80 years of construction, combat and growth.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam warmly congratulated and praised the particularly outstanding feats of arms and achievements of the Armed Forces of Military Region 1 over the past 80 years.
