Regarding the fire that occurred in the early morning of April 12 on Nguyen Thi Thoi street, as of now, functional agencies have identified a total of 7 casualties. Tan Thoi Hiep Ward People's Committee is actively implementing measures to support relatives and victims.
Talking to reporters, a representative of Tan Thoi Hiep Ward People's Committee said that the fire killed 2 people and injured 5 people who are currently being treated at the hospital.

Currently, the identities and ages of the two deceased victims are being kept confidential by the investigating agency to serve the verification of related details.
Immediately after the incident occurred, local leaders took initial support steps to share the loss with the families of the victims. The Ward People's Committee supported 10 million VND for each death and 5 million VND for each injured person.

Also after the fire, working groups of Tan Thoi Hiep Ward People's Committee were directly present at the hospital to visit, encourage the spirit and provide financial support to the victims.
The Ward People's Committee is urgently completing a document sent to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on proposing additional financial support options to help families soon stabilize their lives after the incident.

According to Lao Dong's records, at the scene of the fire, the area is a house combined with business. Police are still blockading it to investigate the cause of the fire.
As Lao Dong reported, in the early morning of April 12, people living near the alley on Nguyen Thi Thoi street heard shouts and cries for help. When running out to check, many people discovered fierce smoke and fire breaking out from a nearby house.
People mobilized on-site vehicles to put out the fire, and at the same time tried to approach and rescue people but failed due to large flames accompanied by thick smoke, making it difficult to approach.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police force - Ho Chi Minh City Police quickly dispatched vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy firefighting and rescue people.
