On February 17, the Standing Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee announced the Decision to transfer Mr. A Vo To Phuong (born in 1971, Co Tu ethnic group, hometown Dong Giang district) Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Giang district to work at the Provincial People's Committee, from February 20, 2025.
The Provincial Party Standing Committee assigned the Provincial People's Committee Party Standing Committee to lead the implementation of receiving and appointing Mr. A Vo To Phuong to hold the position of Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Quang Nam province.
The newly established Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Quang Nam was based on the consolidation of the functions, tasks and organizational structure of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee and receiving the functions, tasks and organization of the state management advisory apparatus on religious work from the Department of Home Affairs, poverty reduction tasks from the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs.
