National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the First Session of the 16th National Assembly will conduct organizational and high-level personnel work of the State apparatus.

On April 5, in Hanoi, Politburo Member, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired the Conference of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee with leaders of the Party Group of the National Assembly Delegation (NA Delegation) of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government.

The conference focused on discussing and agreeing on a number of issues to prepare for the First Session of the 16th National Assembly, which will officially open tomorrow morning, April 6.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man congratulated the Heads of Party Groups and Heads of Delegations in charge of National Assembly Delegations of provinces and cities who have just been elected.

The National Assembly Chairwoman emphasized the important role of Heads of Party Groups, Heads of Delegations, Deputy Heads of Delegations in charge of National Assembly Delegations of provinces and cities for the success of the session.

If the Party Group Leaders, Heads, and Deputy Heads of delegations lead the delegation well, with discipline and strict order, then the activities of the Delegation will contribute to the success of the session" - the National Assembly Chairwoman stated clearly.

Emphasizing that the First Session of the 16th National Assembly will conduct many extremely important contents, the National Assembly Chairwoman said that the National Assembly will conduct senior personnel work of the State apparatus.

At the same time, consider and approve 8 draft laws, 1 legal normative resolution; decide on major plans for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security, national finance, public investment, and public debt repayment in the next 5 years.

According to the National Assembly Chairwoman, the session is divided into two phases. The first phase is from April 6-11; the second phase is from May 20-25, 2026.

The National Assembly Chairwoman emphasized again the statement of General Secretary To Lam: "In difficult times, when time is rushed, many important tasks are an opportunity to affirm the leadership capacity of the Party, the management effectiveness of the State and the operational efficiency of the political system... are challenging opportunities for leaders of Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, mass organizations, sectors, and levels, only through work can they show leadership and command capacity; show resilience, ability to withstand pressure, and high work intensity".

The National Assembly Chairwoman requested leaders of Party Groups and Delegations of National Assembly Deputies of provinces and cities to continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and unity, strengthen close coordination with relevant agencies, lead and direct preparations to successfully organize the First Session of the 16th National Assembly, creating new atmosphere and new confidence for the new term.
