At the conference, Mr. Le Tan Thu, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee, reported on the implementation of the merger and consolidation of provincial administrative units of Can Tho City and the two provinces of Hau Giang and Soc Trang.
Accordingly, it is expected that after the merger, there are 109 Party Committees under Can Tho City Party Committee, including 103 Party Committee of the commune, ward and Party Committee of the City Party agencies, City People's Committee Party Committee, City Police Party Committee, City Military Party Committee, Can Tho University Party Committee and Party Committee of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
The total number of Party members of the Can Tho City Party Committee after the merger is 141,124 people.
