The Ministry of Public Security is seeking opinions on the Decree regulating the regime of resort and care when suffering from dangerous diseases, the regime of information and funeral support upon death for retired People's Police (CAND) officers.
According to the draft Decree, the subjects of application include retired police officers (including: General, Colonel, Lieutenant); units under the Ministry of Public Security, Provincial and City Police and agencies, units, organizations, and individuals related to the implementation of regimes and policies for retired police officers.
Regarding the resort regime, the draft Decree stipulates the level of resort allowance; resort invitation and regime when retired police officers are invited to vacation at resorts under the People's Public Security Forces.
In which, resort allowance is designed to be enjoyed according to groups of subjects; the resort allowance level is equal to the resort allowance level of police officers working with the same rank and is paid in the first quarter of each year.
Regarding the care regime when suffering from dangerous diseases, the draft Decree stipulates that retired police officers who suffer from one of the diseases on the list of dangerous diseases as prescribed by the Minister of Health are entitled to an examination and assessment of dangerous diseases, if they are concluded by a competent medical examination council to have a dangerous disease, they are entitled to the following regimes and policies: Monthly support equal to 2 times the basic salary level, the time calculated from the quarter concluded by the medical examination council to have a dangerous disease; when receiving inpatient treatment at medical examination and treatment facilities inside and outside the Police, they are guaranteed medical feasibility meal allowances that differ from the basic meal allowances for non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Forces according to the provisions of law on logistical material standards for officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers serving in the People's Public Security Forces.
The draft Decree also stipulates information regimes; regimes to support the organization of funerals and tomb construction for retired police officers who have passed away and are eligible for state-level funerals and high-level funerals implemented according to current legal regulations; financial support for unit and local police to preside over the organization of funerals or participate in the funeral organizing committee according to the regulations of the Minister of Public Security for retired police officers when they pass away.
