On July 29, the Government Office announced that the Government has just issued Decree 99/2024/ND-CP amending and supplementing Point p, Clause 1, Article 2 of Decree No. 83/2022/ND-CP dated October 18, 2022, of the Government on retirement at a higher age for officials and public employees holding leadership and management positions.
According to the provisions at Point p, Clause 1, Article 2 of Decree No. 83/2022/ND-CP, one of the subjects to which the regulations on retirement at a higher age apply is: Female officials and public employees holding the position of Member of the Standing Committee concurrently Head of Party Committees of the Hanoi City Party Committee and Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Regarding this content, Decree 99/2024/ND-CP amends and supplements as follows: Female officials and public employees holding the position of Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee and Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Decree 99/2024/ND-CP takes effect from July 26, 2024.
Clause 1, Article 2 of Decree No. 83/2022/ND-CP stipulates that the subjects to which the regulations on retirement at a higher age apply are female officials and public employees holding the following positions and titles:
a) Deputy Heads of central Party committees; Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine;
b) Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front;
c) Deputy Chairman of the Ethnic Council, Deputy Chairmen of the Committees of the National Assembly, Deputy Chairmen of the Office of the National Assembly;
d) Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Deputy Director of the Supreme People's Procuracy;
đ) Deputy Ministers, deputies of heads of ministerial-level agencies;
e) Deputy Chief of the Office of the President, Deputy Auditor General of the State Audit Office;
g) Deputy heads of central political-social organizations;
h) Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committees, city Party Committees, and Party Committees of centrally-run blocs; Chairmen of People's Councils, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities;
i) Members of the Central Inspection Commission;
k) Director of the National Political Publishing House Truth;
l) Director of the Legislative Research Institute under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly;
m) Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Director of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, General Director of Vietnam Social Security, Head of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board, Chairman of the National Financial Supervisory Commission; Deputy Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at enterprises;
n) Deputy Chairman of the People's Council, Deputy Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City;
o) Standing members of the Ethnic Council and the Committees of the National Assembly;
p) Members of the Standing Committee concurrently Heads of Party Committees of the Hanoi City Party Committee and Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee;
q) Members of the Standing Committee of provincial Party Committees and city Party Committees who are ethnic minorities.
