On May 26, in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Coast Guard Region 4 held a Conference to announce and award decisions on promotion and salary increase for officers in 2026.
At the Conference, the Organizing Committee announced the decisions of the Minister of National Defense and the Vietnam Coast Guard on promoting military ranks and increasing salaries for officers for 75 comrades, of which 38 comrades were promoted to military ranks ahead of schedule.
Representing the officer who was promoted to military rank this time, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Nghi - Head of the Propaganda and Training Department, Political Department, Coast Guard Region 4 Command, expressed his honor and pride and sent deep thanks to leaders and commanders at all levels; and committed to continue to strive, cultivate, train, and successfully complete all assigned tasks, contributing to building the Vietnam Coast Guard force, Coast Guard Region 4 Command to be revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern.
Speaking at the Conference, Major General Dao Ba Viet - Commander of Coast Guard Region 4 congratulated the officers who were promoted to military ranks and increased salaries this time. At the same time, he requested that in the coming time, comrades must continue to cultivate and train moral qualities and lifestyles, constantly learn to improve professional qualifications and skills, improve the working capacity of revolutionary cadres, and be determined to strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks.
The conference demonstrated the deep concern of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 for personnel work - one of the key tasks in building a comprehensively strong force. This is not only a worthy recognition of the contributions of the officers but also a great source of encouragement, adding will and spirit for each officer to continue to strive, contributing to firmly protecting sovereignty, security, and order in the sacred Southwest sea and islands of the Fatherland.
