Accordingly, the Van Don Special Zone Party Committee, under the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, has 86 affiliated party organizations. The Van Don Special Zone Party Committee will be the direct superior of these grassroots party organizations, ensuring the comprehensive and consistent leadership of the Party over all aspects of the Special Zone's activities.
This Decision takes effect from July 1, 2025.
This is an important event, marking a new step in the development of building and perfecting the management and operation model in Van Don Economic Zone, contributing to strongly promoting the socio-economic development of the region in particular and Quang Ninh province in general.
Van Don Special Zone was established on the basis of transferring the status quo of Van Don island district with 12 commune-level administrative units, including 5 island communes.
According to the project to reorganize commune-level administrative units and not organize district-level government, Quang Ninh has 54 commune-level administrative units, including 2 special zones, Van Don and Co To.
The Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee has also just issued a decision to end the operation of 13 district-level party committees under the Provincial Party Committee from July 1, 2025.
The 13 district-level party committees above include: 1. Ha Long City Party Committee; 2. Mong Cai City Party Committee; 3. Cam Pha City Party Committee; 4. Uong Bi City Party Committee; 5. Dong Trieu City Party Committee; 6 Quang Yen Town Party Committees; 7 Hai Ha District Party Committees; 8 Dam Ha District Party Committees; 9 Binh Lieu District Party Committees; 10 Tien Yen District Party Committees; 11 Ba Che District Party Committees; 12. Van Don District Party Committee; 13. Co To District Party Committee.
The Executive Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee assigned the above-mentioned district-level Party Committees, the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Office and relevant Party Committees, agencies and organizations according to their functions and tasks to coordinate in guiding and implementing the transfer and reception of Party organizations and Party members, arranging and assigning cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, working headquarters, assets, finance, records, documents, seals and other issues according to regulations.
