On October 30, local time, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh was the only senior Asian leader to speak at the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference organized by Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the afternoon of October 29, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed his pleasure to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and warmly welcomed Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to attend and speak as the main guest of the 8th Future Investment Initiative Conference. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that the participation of Vietnam - a typical country in dynamic economic development in Asia, opens up new opportunities for investors, making an important contribution to the success of the conference and to the development strategy in the region.

The 8th Future Investment Initiative Conference will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from October 29-30. The event, themed “Boundless Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow,” has attracted 7,100 delegates from around the world. The event will see delegates discuss opportunities and challenges in the global financial industry and witness discussions on how investment can act as a catalyst for a prosperous and sustainable future. Ahead of the conference, FII CEO Richard Attias said that deals worth a total of $28 billion are expected to be announced at the event.

In addition to experts in finance, this year’s Future Investment Initiative also brings together leaders and decision-makers in artificial intelligence (AI), sustainability, energy, geoeconomics and space. More than 200 panel discussions and plenary discussions take place during the conference to address issues related to economic stability, geopolitical tensions and equitable development. The geoeconomic dialogues at the conference serve as a “critical complement” to the global dialogue, equipping leaders with forward-thinking strategies to navigate the coming global landscape.

During his working trip to Saudi Arabia, on the afternoon of October 29, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and received Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Jordan Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
