On October 30, local time, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh was the only senior Asian leader to speak at the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference organized by Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the afternoon of October 29, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed his pleasure to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and warmly welcomed Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to attend and speak as the main guest of the 8th Future Investment Initiative Conference. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that the participation of Vietnam - a typical country in dynamic economic development in Asia, opens up new opportunities for investors, making an important contribution to the success of the conference and to the development strategy in the region.

The 8th Future Investment Initiative Conference will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from October 29-30. The event, themed “Boundless Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow,” has attracted 7,100 delegates from around the world. The event will see delegates discuss opportunities and challenges in the global financial industry and witness discussions on how investment can act as a catalyst for a prosperous and sustainable future. Ahead of the conference, FII CEO Richard Attias said that deals worth a total of $28 billion are expected to be announced at the event.

In addition to experts in finance, this year’s Future Investment Initiative also brings together leaders and decision-makers in artificial intelligence (AI), sustainability, energy, geoeconomics and space. More than 200 panel discussions and plenary discussions take place during the conference to address issues related to economic stability, geopolitical tensions and equitable development. The geoeconomic dialogues at the conference serve as a “critical complement” to the global dialogue, equipping leaders with forward-thinking strategies to navigate the coming global landscape.

During his working trip to Saudi Arabia, on the afternoon of October 29, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and received Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Jordan Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.

At the meeting with the Egyptian Prime Minister, the two leaders agreed to promote research and consider negotiating agreements and arrangements to create a legal framework for trade relations between the two countries. The two Prime Ministers agreed to discuss the possibility of establishing bilateral trade cooperation frameworks, thereby contributing to increasing trade turnover in the coming time. The two Prime Ministers also agreed to encourage businesses of the two countries to invest in each other in the fields of electric vehicles, software research, renewable energy, solar energy, green transformation, digital transformation, etc.

Pleased to meet Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Crown Prince of Jordan Al Hussein bin Abdullah II expressed his admiration for Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements, a bright spot in economic development in Asia. The two leaders agreed to promote tourism and education cooperation and increase the exchange of each other's strengths, including Vietnam's agricultural, aquatic, seafood, footwear, textiles and electronics. The Crown Prince of Jordan welcomed Vietnam's new direction in investing in the development of the Halal industry, affirming that the Arab region is a very potential market and is ready to coordinate and import Vietnam's Halal food products to ensure domestic food security as well as expand and re-export to regional markets.
