Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh begins visit to Saudi Arabia

The Prime Minister's visit to Saudi Arabia is expected to firmly build political trust to pave the way for a new phase of cooperation between the two countries.

According to VNA, after successfully concluding the official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on the afternoon of October 29, local time, the plane carrying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived at King Khalid International Airport, Riyadh, starting a working trip to attend the 8th Future Investment Initiative Conference and a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed Bin Salman.

Welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation at King Khalid Airport were government officials, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia; Vietnamese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dang Xuan Dung; embassy staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Saudi Arabia.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to Saudi Arabia took place in the context of the two countries' diplomatic relations developing well after 25 years of establishment with many substantive results.

The two sides have increased the exchange of high-level delegations and delegations from ministries and sectors. Most recently, in October 2023, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) - Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit and visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working visit to Saudi Arabia is expected to create new momentum for traditional cooperation areas between the two countries, create new breakthroughs to promote potential areas, and above all, firmly establish political trust to pave the way for a new phase of cooperation between Vietnam and Saudi Arabia.
