On the afternoon of September 24, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Central working delegation inspected the progress of the Long Thanh airport project in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province.
At the Long Thanh airport project construction site, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited, encouraged and presented gifts to officers, engineers, workers and laborers working at the construction site.
Reporting to the Prime Minister and the working delegation, Mr. Vu The Phiet - Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACV said that currently, the construction packages at the construction site are ensuring progress, by December 31, 2025, the entire rough construction will be completed and specialized aviation equipment will be installed and tested to put Long Thanh airport into official operation by April 30, 2026.
ACV representative also proposed to soon deploy traffic routes connecting Long Thanh airport such as Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway to be completed in 2025; Proposed to deploy runway number 2 of Long Thanh airport...
Mr. Vo Tan Duc - Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee also proposed to approve the Ministry of Transport and ACV to implement the second phase of the land leveling project to avoid dust and smoke; agree to build runway number 2, level terminal T3, and expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway to avoid traffic jams.
ACC contractor representative also committed to ensuring construction progress - quality - safety.
Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed Dong Nai province for basically handing over 5,000 hectares of Long Thanh airport land, thanked Dong Nai people for giving up their farming and living space to build Long Thanh airport, and asked Dong Nai Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh and Dong Nai province to pay attention to people after they relocate to a new place to have a better life than their old place.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested that the Long Thanh airport project must be basically completed by December 31, 2025.
The Prime Minister also requested that during the construction process, quality control must be ensured on the project site, environmental hygiene and safety, and technical safety on the construction site. At the same time, attention must be paid to workers to avoid loss and waste...
