The groundbreaking ceremony took place at the intersection of DT 746 road in Tan Hiep ward, Tan Uyen city. According to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway passing through Tan Uyen city is 15.4km long and passes through 6 wards (Thai Hoa, Tan Phuoc Khanh, Tan Vinh Hiep, Tan Hiep, Phu Chanh, Vinh Tan).
This section of the highway will run 7km parallel to the Cai stream project under construction.
Currently, Tan Uyen city is implementing component project 1 - site clearance for the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project.
According to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project, the section passing through Binh Duong province, has a total length of about 52 km. The expressway is planned with a scale of 6 expressway lanes, designed speed of 100 km/h.
In phase 1, the project is invested in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), with a scale of 4 expressway lanes, continuous emergency lanes along the entire route, a roadbed width of 25.5m, and a total investment of about 17,400 billion VND.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will witness the handover of the decision approving the results of selecting project investors and the decision approving the investment policy, and the project investment registration certificate of the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee.
The Prime Minister will present gifts to people in the project area and join delegates in the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project.
