Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee has issued a document announcing the start date of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway.
The People's Committee of Binh Duong province will organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway at 8:00 a.m. on February 1 (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year). The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at the expressway passing through Tan Uyen city, Binh Duong province.
Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee said that at the groundbreaking ceremony, the province will present investment approval decisions and investment certificates to enterprises.
Previously, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province issued a document approving the results of selecting a contractor to invest in the construction of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway under the form of public-private partnership (PPP).
The winning bidder is the joint venture of Industrial Development and Investment Corporation - Technical Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company - Becamex Binh Phuoc Technical Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company - Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company.
The type of contract is build - operate - transfer (BOT).
Total investment (including interest) is more than VND 8,833 billion from equity, loans and other legally mobilized capital.
Time to prepare for construction, infrastructure system and construction time is 36 months.
The time for operating and operating the infrastructure system is 32 years and 5 months from the date the competent authority approves the investor to collect road usage fees.
According to the Binh Duong Province Electronic Information Portal, the investment project to build the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway - the section passing through Binh Duong Province has its starting point at the intersection with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 in Thuan An City, and its end point at Km 52 +159 (the border between Binh Duong Province and Binh Phuoc Province).
The expressway through Binh Duong passes through Thuan An city, Tan Uyen city and Bac Tan Uyen, Phu Giao and Bau Bang districts of Binh Duong province.
The total length of the project is more than 52km, of which the current section is 6.5km long (from Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 to Khanh Van intersection), the newly invested and constructed section is more than 45.6km long (from Km 6+500 to Km 52+159).
The project has a scale of 4-lane highway, with continuous emergency lanes along the entire route, roadbed width of 25.5m, design speed of 100km/h (the first section of the route, 6.5km long from Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 to Khanh Van intersection, will keep the current road cross-section scale).
Sections with high traffic demand invest in service roads to ensure 2 lanes for motor vehicles.
