Also during this time, President Ho Chi Minh met with Vietnamese revolutionaries, the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong, General Vo Nguyen Giap and other comrades in Kunming to discuss important events of the Vietnamese revolution.
Along with artifacts about his daily life, the relic site preserves many images and documents about President Ho Chi Minh's feelings for the leaders of the Party, State and People of China; images and documents about the period of revolutionary activities and President Ho Chi Minh's visits and work in China.
The Ho Chi Minh historical site has important historical, cultural and traditional educational values. In 2011, the old house was declared a city-level cultural relic protection unit. In 2019, the house was declared a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.
In order to continue to inherit and promote the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam, promote people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two countries, in 2022, the relic site of President Ho Chi Minh's former residence will be restored.
Signing the golden book of souvenirs, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his emotion when visiting the relic site, affirming that this is a valuable historical relic, demonstrating the tradition of solidarity and attachment of the revolutions of the two Parties and two countries of Vietnam and China.
The Vietnamese Government sincerely thanks the Party Committee, Government and People of Yunnan Province for respectfully preserving the relic site; affirming that this will always be a "red address" for people, especially the young generation of the two countries, to study, thereby actively contributing to fostering the friendship "both comrades and brothers" between Vietnam and China to be forever green and sustainable.
