However, the work of compensation and site clearance for power grid projects to release capacity for LNG Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Thermal Power Plants has been implemented very slowly. In the coming time, EVN and PVN need to soon agree and sign a power purchase agreement (PPA).
The Deputy Prime Minister requested Dong Nai province to focus on directing and closely coordinating with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to complete site handover for power grid projects to release capacity for Nhon Trach 3 and 4 LNG Thermal Power Plants. by the end of 2024.
For projects in the Quang Trach Power Center, the Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant project has reached 63%, but there are still difficulties in site clearance for some items. Quang Trach 2 Thermal Power Plant Project is adjusting its investment policy to convert to using LNG.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade and localities to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies to review the solar power projects mentioned in the conclusions of the Government Inspectorate and transfer them to the investigation agency. .
Classify projects that have no signs of violations or criminal violations and can be remedied according to inspection and examination conclusions... to put them into operation.
For gas thermal power projects, there are problems with the mechanism to determine contract power output (QC), power purchase price... The Deputy Prime Minister requested corporations and businesses to proactively participate. together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to complete the amendment and promulgation of relevant circulars; Prepare documents to report to the Government to submit to the National Assembly for promulgation of a Resolution on mechanisms and policies for gas power projects.
Regarding the pilot project to develop offshore wind power, the Deputy Prime Minister requires a specific project and model (full export, green fuel production, generation to the national grid), method implementation, thereby determining the "problem" that needs to be solved in terms of legal corridors, surveys, planning... "so that the Prime Minister can approve it so that it can be deployed synchronously and comprehensively." ".
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Justice and localities to review and specifically report the number of power projects behind schedule, and propose to competent authorities how to handle them according to regulations of the Government. law.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade urgently researches and develops a project to ensure proactive capacity compensation for power source projects that are behind schedule compared to the Implementation Plan of Electricity Master Plan VIII.
