In order to prepare thoroughly for the Standing Meeting of the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center Coordination Committee, on May 20, in Hanoi, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chairman of the Vietnam Sub-committee in the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center Coordination Committee, chaired a working session to comprehensively review all aspects of work serving the Meeting.
At the working session, representatives of functional agencies reported on the progress of implementing the contents serving the Meeting, focusing on the program content, reception work, propaganda, logistics, security assurance and coordination between relevant agencies and units.
According to the plan, the upcoming Meeting will assess the results of scientific research and activities of the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center in the first 6 months of 2026; unify directions and key tasks to improve the efficiency of scientific research activities, technology application and bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the coming time.
Concluding the working session, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang emphasized that the Meeting is of great significance in promoting the traditional cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in general, as well as within the framework of the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center in particular.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang requested functional agencies to continue to thoroughly review each content; proactively coordinate closely, prepare carefully in all aspects, ensuring that the Meeting takes place solemnly, effectively, safely and achieves the set goals.
