General Secretary and President To Lam congratulated Comrade Phayvy Siboualipha on being trusted by the Lao Party and State to be assigned the important responsibility of Chief Justice of the Lao Supreme People's Court.
The General Secretary and President believes that the visit will contribute to the effective implementation of high-level agreements between the two Parties and two States, and at the same time further deepen the cooperative relationship between the judicial system of the two countries.
The General Secretary and President requested the Court sectors of the two countries to strengthen coordination to effectively implement high-level agreements between the two countries; promote digital transformation and information technology application cooperation, focusing on cooperation in building e-courts and digital transformation; coordinate to organize in-depth professional training courses and legal specialization training for officials and judges of the two countries; tighten coordination between the Courts of border localities in the fight against transnational crime, high-tech crime, human trafficking and drug trafficking, contributing to maintaining security and order and building a stable, peaceful and developed Vietnam - Laos border; maintain close coordination and support each other's views at international and regional forums, including the Council of Chief Justices of ASEAN (CACJ).
The General Secretary and President also requested the two agencies to continue to effectively implement the signed cooperation programs; strengthen delegation exchanges at all levels, especially at the leadership and young cadre levels; promote cooperation in training, legal science research, application of information technology in management and adjudication activities; contribute to the successful implementation of the judicial reform goals of each country as well as concretize high-level cooperation agreements between Vietnam and Laos.
General Secretary and President To Lam requested the Supreme People's Courts of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia to continue to promote their pioneering role in promoting judicial cooperation, strengthen delegation exchanges, share experiences on judicial reform, building a rule-of-law state, training officials and digital transformation.
On the basis of increasingly effective trilateral cooperation, it is possible to expand cooperation with the court sector of Thailand, Myanmar and Sub-region countries, gradually forming a coordination mechanism on legal and judicial issues of common concern.
Informing the General Secretary and President about the results of the talks and working sessions with leaders of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam, Chief Justice of the Lao Supreme People's Court Phayvy Siboualipha said that the two sides had extensively exchanged measures to improve the effectiveness of cooperation between the two judicial sectors, and agreed to continue to comprehensively implement cooperation contents in the coming time, especially in the fields of training and fostering officials, digital transformation, building e-courts, exchanging experiences in perfecting laws and judicial reform.
Mr. Phayvy Siboualipha affirmed that the Lao Supreme People's Court will closely coordinate with the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam to effectively implement the common perceptions of senior leaders of the two Parties and States; continue to educate the tradition of special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos for the contingent of officials and civil servants of the court sector of the two countries, contributing to preserving and promoting the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam forever green and eternally sustainable.
