On August 29, General Secretary and President To Lam inspected the reality at the Ring Road 1 Project (Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section) and the Hoang Quan Chi High School Project (Yen Hoa ward).
At the Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section, General Secretary and President To Lam praised the efforts of Hanoi City in site clearance and taking good care of the new life for the people.
At the same time, General Secretary and President To Lam requested relevant units to ensure progress, strive to soon open the entire route to traffic, and maximize the effectiveness of the project.
Emphasizing that Ring Road 1 Project is a continuous traffic route, playing a role in reducing inner-city congestion, the General Secretary and President requested Party committees and authorities at all levels to continue to promote the work of mobilizing and persuading people to agree to hand over land to complete the project; clarify the goal for the common development of the city as well as the superiority of good resettlement policies.
In addition, continue to carry out urban architectural landscape planning on both sides of the road, absolutely not allowing business activities to take place that affect traffic, urban aesthetics and potentially cause serious fire and explosion risks.
Inspecting the Hoang Quan Chi High School Project, General Secretary and President To Lam highly appreciated the methodical investment in facilities, expressing his belief that the inauguration of this school and many other educational institutions in the city will well meet the increasing learning needs of Hanoi students right in the new school year 2026-2027.
The General Secretary and President requested that education must aim for comprehensive development; build standard schools; harmoniously combine cultural, artistic, sports and foreign language learning to create a joyful atmosphere, helping students love the learning environment; organize periodic health check-ups to monitor physical condition (height, nearsightedness, oral health... ) and develop appropriate health care plans for students.
General Secretary and President emphasized the need to detect and foster early students' artistic and sports talents and STEM subjects.
Along with that, encouraging universities to directly admit students with excellent learning processes throughout 12 years of study; focusing on career orientation so that students have choices suitable to their qualifications, abilities and actual needs of society.
