Sincerely to teachers, administrators, employees in the Education sector; students, pupils, and parents nationwide!
In the joyful atmosphere of the opening day, when the opening bell rang from schools in the heart of the city to schools in border areas and islands, I cordially sent to teachers, administrators, workers in the Education sector, students, pupils and parents nationwide the best wishes, wishing a successful new school year.
In the 2025-2026 school year, the Education sector has made efforts to overcome difficulties, continue to innovate programs, methods and management, improve the quality of comprehensive education at all levels, promote university autonomy, vocational education, scientific research, digital transformation and artificial intelligence application. Learning conditions continue to improve, and learners and teachers in difficult areas are supported more fully.
After a year of implementing Resolution 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo, many breakthrough policies on education and training have been institutionalized and gradually entered life. The Law on Teachers and new policies on tuition fees, textbooks and regimes for teachers show the deep concern of the Party, State and the whole society for the cause of nurturing people.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, I warmly commend the efforts and results of the entire sector, respectfully thank generations of teachers, management officials, and workers who have been dedicated to the profession, wholeheartedly for students; acknowledge the spirit of studiousness and striving will of students; thank parents and people for always trusting, sharing, and accompanying the school.
I especially respect teachers who stick to schools and classes in mountainous areas, border areas, islands and areas with many shortages every day, overcoming difficulties to keep the flame of knowledge bright, not letting any students lose the right to go to school. In each step of student maturity, there is the enthusiasm of teachers, in each step of national progress, there is the foundation of education.
The 2026-2027 school year must create substantive changes in the quality of teaching and learning, fairness in access to education, learners' capacity and social trust. Each school needs to be a place where learners are respected, listened to, encouraged to self-study and practice skills; a place where talents are discovered and nurtured, and children in difficult circumstances are not left behind. Achievements must be linked to the actual progress of each student, honesty in teaching and learning, and the joy of going to school.
I propose that the Education sector strongly innovate thinking, management methods, empower power associated with accountability, reduce administrative pressure so that teachers can focus their efforts on expertise and students. Inspection and evaluation must put learners at the center, overcome achievement disease, the mentality of chasing scores and heavy exams.
Taking care of education is first of all taking care of teachers, so that teachers are assured of their profession, maintain their dignity, and constantly improve their expertise. The teaching profession is honored for intelligence, understanding, personality, love, and the teacher's example. Words of encouragement at the right time can ignite faith; sincere listening can open up a future for students.
Faced with the profound changes of science, technology and artificial intelligence, education must proactively expand access to knowledge, improve the quality of teaching and learning. Technology must serve people and make education better. The more modern technology is applied, the more schools must cultivate independent thinking, academic integrity, responsibility, civic consciousness and human values that no machine can replace.
Dear students, pupils, and students!
The world is changing day by day. What has been learned may quickly become old, but the spirit of eagerness to learn, bravery, creativity, honesty and will to rise up will always be valuable. I hope you nurture your dreams, persistently study, master technology, know how to stand up after failure and dedicate your talent to serving the people and the country.
Each teacher with love for the profession and tolerance continues to instill in students the passion for learning, confidence and desire to contribute.
Parents and schools nurture their children with love and respect, recognizing the process of maturity not only through scores but also in qualities, attitudes to life and learning spirit.
Party committees, authorities and the whole society need to continue to invest practically in education, especially in difficult areas, so that the place of birth or family circumstances do not hinder the path of education and the future of a person.
With the nation's tradition of studiousness, the dedication of the teaching staff and the aspirations of the young generation, I believe that the 2026-2027 school year will open up new steps for national education.
Wishing teachers, administrators, employees of the Education sector and students to always be healthy, happy and achieve many achievements in the new school year.
