According to VNA, within the framework of the State visit to the Republic of Indonesia and an official visit to the Secretariat of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) from March 9-11, 2025, on the evening of March 9, at Ciputra Theater, Jakarta, General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly attended a concert to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Indonesia.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the concert, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son affirmed that this is a special event within the framework of the State visit to Indonesia by General Secretary To Lam and his wife.
During this important visit, senior leaders of the two countries will discuss directions to deepen and further enhance the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Indonesia.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son believes that after 70 years of development, with a similar history and many important achievements, the friendship and cooperation between the two countries will increasingly bear fruit, meeting the aspirations of the people of the two countries, for peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
The two sides will jointly promote the Vietnam - Indonesia Strategic Partnership to a new height as agreed by the leaders of the two countries.
Speaking at the concert, Mr. Fadli Zon, Minister of Culture of Indonesia, emphasized that the relationship between the two countries has been firmly founded by President Ho Chi Minh and President Sukarno, and the following generations of leaders and people of the two countries have worked hard to nurture it, becoming a valuable and lasting asset for both peoples.
The Indonesian Minister of Culture affirmed that this concert symbolizes the beauty between the cultures and music of the two countries. The artists will create a symphony of hope, recovery and unity, speaking out the hearts of the people of the two countries towards the future and inspiring the next generation to continue promoting the spirit of cooperation and friendship that has created the relationship between the two countries over the past 70 years.

Affirming that the two countries both make important contributions to ASEAN for the stability, economic development and prosperity of the region, the Indonesian Minister of Culture believes that the younger generations of the two countries will inherit and continue to join hands to foster the increasingly developed relationship between the two countries.
At the concert, the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra under the Vietnam National Academy of Music brought an academic symphony program with the participation of leading Vietnamese artists, introducing to Indonesians classic musical works of the world, blending and interwoven with the typical colors of Vietnamese traditional musical instruments, along with folk melodies and familiar songs of the two countries.
