At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, President of the Great Indonesian Movement Party ( Gerindra) Prabowo Subianto, ASEAN Secretary General Kao Kim Hourn and Singapore Prime Minister, General Secretary of the Singapore People's Action Party (PAP) Lawrence Wong, on the morning of March 9, 2025, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Hanoi, departed for a state visit to the Republic of Indonesia, paid an official visit to the ASEAN Secretariat and paid an official visit to the Republic of Singapore from March 9 to 13, 2025.
According to VNA, the working delegation included: General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Minister of National Defense; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Mr. Nguyen Van Nen - Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee;
General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; Mr. Le Hoai Trung - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Mr. Tran Luu Quang - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission;
Mr. Bui Thanh Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; a number of comrades of the Party Central Committee who are leaders of ministries, branches, central and local agencies; comrades: Assistant General Secretary, Head of the General Secretary's Office; Permanent Ambassadors of Vietnam to the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Singapore, Ambassadors and Heads of the Vietnamese Delegation to ASEAN.
The visit of General Secretary To Lam and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation continues to demonstrate the consistent implementation of the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations, attaching importance to relations with neighboring countries in the region of our Party and State, including two important partners, Indonesia and Singapore; further demonstrating the proactive, responsible and creative spirit of Vietnam with practical contributions, joining hands to realize ASEAN's future aspirations.
