At the 95th Anniversary of the City Party Committee's Founding (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025) and the 50th Anniversary of the City Liberation Day (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025) on the morning of March 29, General Secretary To Lam, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, presented the First Class Labor Medal to the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang City.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, reviewed the glorious historical journey of the Party Committee and people of the city. From the cradle of the Central revolution under the French colonial period, where many patriotic revolutionaries were born, Da Nang has become a solid support for the revolutionary movement, marking its mark with the establishment of the Party Committee on March 28, 1930 .
Through two resistance wars against France and the US, the Party Committee and people of Da Nang fought steadfastly, sacrificed their bravery, and made an important contribution to the common victory of the nation. In particular, the event of the liberation of Da Nang city on March 29, 1975 marked a brilliant milestone in the history of the city's army and people's struggle.
During the renovation period, Da Nang has achieved proud achievements in many fields. The economy is growing rapidly, the size of the economy has increased many times compared to 1997. Urbanization has reached a high rate, modern infrastructure, tourism has developed strongly, becoming a spearhead economic sector. Da Nang is also the leading locality in the country in digital transformation, building e-government, contributing to improving the efficiency of state management.
Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang also frankly acknowledged the limitations and shortcomings. The economic development rate is not commensurate with the potential, growth quality is still limited, and state management in some areas is still weak. At the same time, he also emphasized the determination of the Party Committee and the city government in overcoming these limitations, creating new momentum for sustainable development.
"In the joyful atmosphere of celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang City Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the City Liberation Day, looking back on the journey with countless difficulties and challenges but very glorious, we are more confident and proud of the glorious Party, the heroic historical tradition of the nation, of our homeland and country.
We are determined to record and promote the revolutionary achievements that have been achieved and with a heroic revolutionary spirit to celebrate major holidays in 2025", said Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang.
