Ho Chi Minh City officially establishes the Press and Radio and Television Authority

Ho Chi Minh City - On June 20, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee announced the decision to establish the Ho Chi Minh City Newspaper and Radio and Television Authority and awarded decisions on personnel work.

At the ceremony, the Organization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City Newspaper and Radio and Television Authority.

The Ho Chi Minh City Newspaper and Radio and Television Authority includes 3 affiliated press agencies and 1 non-business unit: Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, Tuoi Tre Electronic Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station, and the Training and Communication Center.

The Ho Chi Minh City Newspaper and Radio and Television Authority is a public non-business unit directly under the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, with an organizational structure according to the model of a key multimedia press agency.

Along with the announcement of the new organizational model, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee awarded decisions to appoint key leadership personnel.

Mr. Le Van Minh - City Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dien Hong ward - was appointed to hold the position of General Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Newspaper and Radio and Television Authority.

4 Deputy General Directors include: Mr. Nguyen Khac Van - Acting Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper; Mr. Cao Anh Minh - General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station; Mr. Tran Xuan Toan - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper; Mr. To Dinh Tuan - Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.

8 press agencies cease operations

The Ho Chi Minh City Newspaper and Radio and Television Authority was established on the basis of arranging, reorganizing and dissolving, ending the operation of 11 city press agencies.

8 press agencies ceasing operations include: Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Phu Nu TPHCM Newspaper, Phap Luat TPHCM Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Magazine, Saigon Entrepreneurs Magazine, Saigon Economic Magazine, Popular Science Magazine.

3 press agencies are reorganized including: Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station, Tuoi Tre Newspaper.

The Ho Chi Minh City Newspaper and Radio and Television Authority has 8 affiliated units, including 4 functional departments (Office; Secretariat - Editorial Department; Technical - Technology - Digital Transformation Department; Planning - Investment Department); 1 non-business unit is the Training and Communication Center; 3 press agencies (Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, Tuoi Tre Electronic Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station).

The time to stop publishing publications of dissolved press agencies and end operations is June 30. Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station continue to operate normally until the end of July 1.

Time to publish the first print edition of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper (new), launch a new interface on the digital platforms of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper (new) and Tuoi Tre Electronic Newspaper (new); radio and television programs and products of Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station (new) on July 2, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh City officially honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh.
