Handing over the President's Decision to military officers performing peacekeeping missions

According to the President's Decision, the officer performing the United Nations peacekeeping mission this time is Major Su Tan Phi Long.

On the morning of April 21, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, a ceremony was held to present the President's decision to officers on duty at the Central African Republic Delegation (MINUSCA).

Senior General Hoang Xuan Chien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Head of the Inter-sectoral Working Group, Head of the Ministry of National Defense Steering Committee on participation in United Nations peacekeeping activities - chaired the ceremony.

The officer honored to receive this Decision is Major Su Tan Phi Long ( milestone 7) replacing Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Si Hieu as Military Observer, MINUSCA Delegation.

Major General Pham Manh Thang - Director of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department - said that Major Su Tan Phi Long had participated in the training systematically, able to meet the requirements of the United Nations as well as the Ministry of National Defense to carry out peacekeeping missions. Up to now, all preparations for the deployment for Major Tan Phi Long have been basically completed and he is ready to depart on April 28.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Tan Phi Long expressed his honor to participate in the United Nations peacekeeping mission, ready to set off with the highest determination.

The male officer emphasized that he is always deeply aware that this is not only a great pride but also a very important responsibility to the Party, State, Army and people.

Major Su Tan Phi Long said that he had prepared carefully in all aspects, from political mettle, perseverance, professional ability, foreign language ability, to health and high determination to carry out the task.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien congratulated Major Tan Phi Long on participating in the United Nations peacekeeping mission; and commended the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department for its good work in preparing, training and creating human resources for this important mission.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien believes that Major Su Tan Phi Long will promote the highest courage and sense of responsibility to overcome difficulties in the area and complete the task well.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien also requested Major Su Tan Phi Long to promote the tradition of the Vietnam People's Army, demonstrate a sense of responsibility, proactively learn and cooperate with international colleagues, confidently demonstrate his mettle and professional capacity. Thereby, spreading the good qualities of the Vietnam People's Army, of Uncle Ho's soldiers, as well as the image of the country and people of Vietnam.

According to Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, up to now, nearly 1,100 officers and professional soldiers have been deployed by the Ministry of National Defense in both individual and unit forms. In the coming time, there will be more outstanding individuals and forces of Vietnam contributing to the United Nations peacekeeping activities.
