At the meeting, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, Standing Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negative Phenomena Le Minh Tri met with Mr. Wang Huning - Member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo, Chairman of the National People's Political Consultative Conference of China.
Mr. Le Minh Tri respectfully conveyed the greetings of General Secretary and President To Lam and key leaders of Vietnam to General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and senior Chinese leaders; congratulated the great victories that the Communist Party of China achieved after 105 years of formation and development, as well as important achievements in more than 10 years of the "new era" and since the XX Congress to date under the leadership of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping; expressed his belief that China will successfully implement the Resolution of the XX Congress, towards successfully organizing the XXI Congress.
Mr. Le Minh Tri affirmed that Vietnam always values and prioritizes strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, promoting the building of a Vietnam - China Community of Shared Future.
Chairman of the National People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning respectfully conveyed the greetings of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping to General Secretary and President To Lam and key leaders of Vietnam; congratulated Vietnam on the important achievements it has made in the cause of building socialism; supported Vietnam under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by General Secretary and President To Lam, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress, realizing the development goals in the new era.
He also affirmed that China always values Sino-Vietnamese friendship; considers relations with Vietnam as a priority direction in neighborly diplomacy; and is ready to work with Vietnam to promote the building of a Community of Future Sharing.
The particularly important bilateral visits of the two General Secretaries and Presidents have created momentum to bring Vietnam-China relations to a new height, with deeper political trust, breakthrough economic and trade connectivity, transport infrastructure development, tourism cooperation and lively people-to-people exchanges.
Regarding the direction of cooperation in the coming period, Mr. Le Minh Tri emphasized the important strategic orientation role of Party channel relations for the overall relationship between the two countries; requested the two sides to closely follow the high-level common understanding, consolidate political trust through exchanges, high-level contacts and regular levels; improve the effectiveness of Party channel cooperation mechanisms, strengthen exchange of experiences on Party building, building a socialist rule-of-law state, preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, negativity, judicial reform; promote cooperation fields.
Appreciating and agreeing with Mr. Le Minh Tri's cooperation proposals, Mr. Vuong Ho Ninh proposed that the two sides pass to improve the effectiveness of Party channel cooperation, well implement high-level exchange plans, strengthen theoretical cooperation and cadre training, promote the mechanism of strategic dialogue between diplomacy - defense - police, thereby consolidating political trust and jointly promoting the cause of socialist modernization in each country; further strengthen strategic development connection, prioritize accelerating railway projects connecting the two countries, promote cooperation in trade, investment, artificial intelligence and digital economy to achieve substantial progress.
The two sides also agreed to coordinate more closely on international and regional issues; maintain peace and stability at sea, control and better resolve disagreements on the basis of conformity with high-level common understanding and international law.
On the same day, the Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission and the Party Delegation visited and had a meeting and working session with the collective of officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in China.
