On October 31, the People's Council of Tien Giang province, term X, held the 14th session (Special session).
At the meeting, the delegates of Tien Giang Provincial People's Council voted and 100% approved the dismissal of Mr. Vo Van Binh from the position of Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term. The reason for retirement is according to the retirement regime.
After that, the delegates conducted an additional election for the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Tien Giang province for the 2021 - 2026 term. The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council presented a proposal to introduce Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee, delegate of the 10th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 to run for the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Tien Giang province, term 2021 - 2026.
At the meeting, the delegates of Tien Giang Provincial People's Council conducted the election by secret ballot. The result was 56/57 votes in favor, reaching 98.2% of the delegates of the Provincial People's Council present. Thus, Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department was elected as Chairwoman of the Tien Giang Provincial People's Council, term X, 2021 - 2026.
At this session, the delegates of the Tien Giang Provincial People's Council passed 6 resolutions, including: Resolution on the regime of reception, visit and congratulation expenses for a number of subjects implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, district and commune levels in Tien Giang province; Resolution on approving the number and types of cars serving the general work of a number of agencies and units in Tien Giang province; Resolution on the content of support and support levels in implementing production development support activities under the National Target Programs until 2025 in Tien Giang province; Resolution on the level of social assistance for people with disabilities who are the third generation of resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals in Tien Giang province; Resolution on approving the policy of establishing An Huu town in Cai Be district, Tien Giang province; Resolution on renaming neighborhoods in Ward 3, Ward 7, Ward 8 (My Tho city).
