On the afternoon of December 30, in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee organized a training conference for officials and press reporters to propagate the 14th Party Congress.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, Standing Deputy Director of the Press Center of the 14th Party Congress - said that the 14th Party Congress is a major political event, of decisive significance for the future development of the country in the new era that is approaching.
According to Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy, propaganda work in general and propaganda in the press in particular need to be implemented with new thinking, new ways of doing things, new methods. In which, it is necessary to pay attention to and promote the role of the multi-platform press, especially the digital platform.
The propaganda press products of the 14th Party Congress must ensure the right deep orientation, be attractive in content and form; have strong spillover effects and have the ability to lead public opinion.
With that meaning, the conference aims to raise awareness for cadres and press reporters about the meaning, importance, new points in the organization of the 14th Party Congress and the core content of the draft documents submitted to the Congress.
The conference also equipped methods, skills, and ways of doing things in the Congress's propaganda, especially the requirement to innovate the content, form, and methods of propaganda in a multi-foundation, in-depth, spreading direction, ensuring accuracy, combatiness and persuasiveness.
Strengthen propaganda responsibility, professional ethics, and the bravery of journalists, especially in the context of the developing cyberspace as it is today. There is multidimensional information, even chaos, hostile forces, political opportunists, and dissatisfied elements increasing activities to sabotage and distort the preparation and organization of the 14th Party Congress.
Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy stated the reality that in the past time, on all platforms, especially cyberspace, hostile forces and political opportunists distorted, defamed and focused very strongly on the story towards the 14th Congress.
Therefore, the tasks and responsibilities of journalists at this time are even more profound and must clearly show the spirit of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists. That spirit must be promoted more strongly in the period leading up to the Congress.
I hope and believe that after the conference, each cadre and reporter will be more aware of their political responsibility, do better in their role as soldiers on the ideological and cultural front, making an important contribution to the successful organization of the 14th Party Congress, consolidating the people's trust in the Party's leadership, and the country's development in the era of national striving," Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy said.
At the training conference, officials and press reporters listened to Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan - former Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Standing Deputy Head of the Document Editing Team of the 14th Party Congress - reporting on the topic 1: New points in the organization of the 14th Party Congress and core and important contents in the draft documents submitted to the 14th Party Congress.
It is expected that Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper - will report on the special topic 2: Innovating the content and methods of propaganda for the 14th Party Congress.
