Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has just signed and issued Official Telegram No. 81/CD-TTg dated August 20, 2024 of the Prime Minister on ensuring traffic order and safety during the National Day holiday of September 2 and peak months traffic safety for students going to school.
At the official dispatch, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Public Security to direct local police to strengthen patrols, control, and strictly handle violations of traffic order and safety in the spirit of respect law.
Handle drastically and persistently, without prohibited areas, without exceptions, focusing on handling violations that are the direct cause of traffic accidents such as violating alcohol and drug concentration regulations , speeding violations degree.
Proactively prevent, stop and strictly handle acts of gathering that disrupt public order and illegal racing; resolutely handle and suppress those who commit acts against officials on duty.
Strengthen the force to regulate, properly classify, and guide safe and smooth traffic, especially on roads and areas that are forecast to have increased traffic during the National Day holiday.
The Ministry of Transport directs agencies under the ministry, Departments of Transport and transport business units to have plans to ensure the capacity and quality of transport services, ensure traffic safety, Especially passenger transport activities by road, rail and air during the National Day holiday, well serving the travel needs of students entering the new school year.
Strengthen the management of transportation activities right from the beginning of the wharf, yard, and station; coordinate with education and training authorities to direct and review schools using contract cars to drop off and pick up students, and request transport units to strictly comply with business regulations and conditions for car transport business in student transportation.
At the same time, renovate and improve the safety conditions of traffic infrastructure, especially main traffic routes, important traffic hubs, key traffic routes, and tourist centers.
Review areas at high risk of landslides and increase warnings if necessary, promptly fix traffic infrastructure problems; urgently handle newly arising "black spots" of traffic accidents.
Review and supplement the signaling system, strictly implement the organization and guidance to ensure traffic on sections, routes, and works with construction activities; prioritize the road for people to travel during holidays.
The Ministry of Information and Communications corrects compliance with legal regulations when participating in traffic by reporters and collaborators; strictly handles cases of intervention and impact on the handling of violations by functional forces.
People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities proactively have plans to organize safe and smooth traffic, especially on routes and areas with high risk of traffic accidents and traffic jams in the local area.
