Contribute to changing the face of rural areas
With the mission of the Bank of "Tam Nong", Agribank's 36-year journey has always gone hand in hand for the development of agriculture and rural areas, changing the lives of people in rural areas with many difficulties. In more than 10 years of implementing new rural lending, starting from 11 selected pilot communes, Agribank has deployed to 100% of communes nationwide with outstanding loans reaching over 600,000 billion VND to more than 2.1 million customers. The correct policies of the Party and Government, the innovation efforts of farmers, along with bank credit capital, the appearance of the countryside has had many positive changes.
Contributing to the results of new rural construction nationwide, Agribank proactively allocates a portion of its profits to finance the construction and upgrading of infrastructure investment projects, public works such as bridges, roads, schools, cultural houses, lighting systems, clean water systems, entertainment areas, etc., which are most necessary for the lives, activities, and production and business activities of local people. The appearance of rural areas has gradually changed, accompanying localities to achieve the criteria for new rural construction.
Protect the environment, for a green future
Recognizing the impacts of climate change, Agribank proactively implements joint solutions to protect the environment, reduce emissions, and increase afforestation, contributing to Vietnam's commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
Agribank has implemented the tree planting movement "1 million trees - More trees, more life" to contribute to the implementation of the Prime Minister's initiative "Planting 1 billion trees in 5 years". Tree planting and tree seedling donation activities in many localities have contributed to increasing forest coverage, creating environmental landscapes and preventing erosion, landslides, natural disasters, etc. In addition, the support of seedlings has contributed to helping local people promote the development of the forest economy, increase production, and escape poverty.
Promoting the tradition of sharing
In 36 years of construction and development, Agribank has implemented many meaningful social and charitable programs and activities, contributing to ensuring social security, towards the community and for the development of the community. Every year, from profits and support from staff and employees, Agribank spends hundreds of billions of VND to implement many social security programs, focusing on the fields of hunger eradication and poverty reduction, gratitude, funding education, health care, transportation, caring for and supporting the poor, people in remote areas, ethnic minorities, vulnerable groups with many difficulties and minimizing damage caused by natural disasters, epidemics... In 2023, Agribank supported more than 500 billion VND to implement social security activities.
On August 8, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ceremony to announce and honor the Outstanding Vietnamese Bank 2024 took place. Agribank was honored with 3 titles, including the award "Outstanding Bank for the Community". With its positive contributions, Agribank has been recognized and honored many times as "Outstanding Bank for the Community", affirming the responsibility of the enterprise for the development of the community and society.
