Changes in management thinking, continuously raising standards, improving processes. This philosophy, according to the author, is helping VinFast create a foundation for global expansion.
Accelerating investment to make a breakthrough
Recently, CleanTechnica, the leading US news site on green technology, published a commentary titled "Why is VinFast investing heavily to 'touch the stars'. The article was written by veteran writer Raymond Tribdino with more than 20 years of experience writing about cars and technology. He also visited the VinFast factory complex in Hai Phong three times, most recently this year.
Returning to the factory area after 3 years (2022-2025), Mr. Tribdino commented that VinFast "has made great strides in production, research and development in Vietnam. This is not only progress but at the minimum is a comprehensive transformation".

Looking at recent business results and listening to financial experts, Mr. Tribdino realized that VinFast is spending a huge amount of money in the immediate period, focusing on three key areas: Building a wide network of showrooms and dealers, launching creative marketing campaigns, and pouring capital into R&D activities to develop new generation car models.
If we look at the past, this is a good investment, Tribdino quoted the expert as saying. According to him, VinFast's financial reports are a great lesson in strategic spending: Pay in the short term to conquer the global electric vehicle market in the future.
CleanTechnica cited data showing that VinFast's operations are accelerating strongly. In the first half of 2025 alone, VinFast delivered 72,167 electric vehicles, an increase of 223% over the same period. When including two-wheeled electric vehicles, the total output reached 114,484 units, an increase of 447%.
The author noted that VinFast currently has 394 showrooms worldwide and quoted the most recent announcement that the company delivered 20,380 vehicles in October, bringing the total number of vehicles delivered in the first 10 months of 2025 in Vietnam to 124,264.
Respect VinFast's transformation
In a previous article on November 1 for CleanTechnica, Mr. Tribdino also described the clear change of the VinFast factory in Hai Phong. "The factory once impressed me with my ambition in 2022, now making people admire it for its implementation ability," he wrote.
CleanTechnica recognizes VinFast as mastering the technology, designing the battery management system itself, researching the heating system and gradually participating in the development of battery chemicals with international partners but with a more proactive role.

VinFast also deploys an AI-based quality control system to detect micro-fault, with a quality management philosophy shifting from inspection to error prevention from the root.
"If the change in the battery factory has made an impression, the transformation in the dam factory is even more prominent. Each press has been corrected with a micrometric error, an accuracy level that I have only seen at German or Japanese facilities that have been completed for decades, the article affirmed.
According to Mr. Tribdino, real change is not in technology but in thinking. In 2022, quality control at the factory is still the stage taking place at the inspection stations. By 2025, quality is built right from every step of the process.
"The body panels that left the line in 2025 are completely suitable for the standards of any high-end car line in any market. The closeness and completeness are really excellent, he wrote.
Tribdino commented that the thing that promotes the above unusual change is the viewpoint of Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong that mistakes must be immediately corrected. That spirit has gone into the way the entire system works.
