Agribank Trade Union has just successfully organized the Third (expanded) Executive Committee Conference, term VII, term 2025-2030 to assess the results of Trade Union activities in the first 6 months of the year, and at the same time, propose directions and key tasks for the last 6 months of 2026 and other important contents.
Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Tu Thi Kim Thanh - Member of the Member Council, Chairman of Agribank Trade Union - emphasized: The Conference is organized at a time when the entire system is focusing on drastically implementing solutions to achieve the highest goals and tasks in 2026. In the context of the economy, finance, and currency still facing many complex developments, banking operations facing competitive pressures, the Trade Union organization needs to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, accompanying Agribank's expertise and development process.
Recognizing the results achieved in the first 6 months of the year, Comrade Tu Thi Kim Thanh affirmed that Agribank Trade Union has comprehensively implemented tasks, achieving positive results; focusing on caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; effectively organizing emulation movements, cultural and sports activities, contributing to creating an atmosphere of solidarity and excitement throughout the system. Comrade requested delegates to promote the spirit of responsibility, democracy, and frankness, focus on discussing and proposing specific and feasible solutions, contributing to improving the quality of Trade Union activities, creating motivation for union members and workers to successfully complete their tasks.
Closely following the direction of the Party Committee, Member Council, Agribank Executive Board and Vietnam Bank Union, Agribank Trade Union has proactively built and implemented the 2026 Work Program with the theme: "Innovating the content and methods of trade union activities, contributing to building Agribank to develop sustainably, digital transformation, green transformation, and spreading corporate culture with the motto'Serving customers, serving organizations'". On that basis, the tasks are concretized synchronously, linking trade union activities with the practical requirements of each unit and the common development goals of the entire system.
Through close coordination with professionals, Agribank Trade Union continues to promote its role as a bridge, accompanying employees, contributing to building a democratic, professional, humane and cohesive working environment. The results achieved in the first 6 months of the year not only affirm the spirit of responsibility, proactiveness, and creativity of trade union levels but also create an important foundation to continue to improve the quality of operations, build an increasingly strong Agribank Trade Union organization, truly being a reliable support for union members and employees and making practical contributions to Agribank's sustainable development goals.
Speaking to direct the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Trung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Union - acknowledged, praised and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Agribank Union in the first 6 months of 2026. In the coming time, he wished the Agribank Union to continue to disseminate and concretize the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress in accordance with the characteristics of the system; strengthen the application of digital platforms and artificial intelligence in propaganda and organization of activities.
In addition, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Trung requested the Agribank Trade Union to continue to strongly focus on grassroots levels, proactively listen to and grasp the thoughts and aspirations of employees; promote the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members; well organize welfare programs, "Month of listening to union members and employees speak", "Trade Union Meal"... and promote emulation movements associated with creative labor, improving productivity, quality and work efficiency...
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Trung also emphasized the requirement to build a team of trade union officials in the spirit of the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, with a set of criteria "Hai thấu, ba gần, bốn không, năm phải".
In which, "two understandings" is understanding workers, thoroughly understanding trade union activities; "three closenesses" is close to workers, close to grassroots levels, close to digital space; "four no's" is not formal, not evasive, not pushing, not doing wrong functions; "five musts" is to listen, to dialogue, to set an example, to take responsibility and to share and remove obstacles.
Promoting tradition, foundation and achieved results, the comrade expressed his belief that Agribank Trade Union will continue to effectively implement tasks in the last 6 months of 2026, actively contributing to the implementation of political tasks and business tasks of the entire system. Thereby, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere towards the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Agribank Trade Union, and at the same time contributing to building Agribank to become increasingly safe, efficient and sustainable.
Promoting the role of a representative organization, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers, in the first 6 months of 2026, Agribank Trade Union has synchronously implemented many tasks and solutions closely linked to the practical requirements of the entire system. From propaganda, political and ideological education, launching emulation movements, caring for material and spiritual life to building corporate culture, digital transformation and improving the quality of trade union organizations are all implemented methodically, creating a clear mark, contributing to consolidating trust, arousing the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and aspiration to contribute of Agribank union members and workers.
The work of caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers continues to be implemented synchronously, practically and increasingly in depth. With the motto of taking union members as the center, Agribank Trade Union has organized many timely and targeted support programs, contributing to sharing difficulties and improving the lives of union members and workers.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Trade Union has subsidized 61 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses with a total amount of 01 billion VND; on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, Agribank Trade Union organized visits and presented gifts to 109 union members in particularly difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses and 376 disabled union members' children with a total budget of over 2.4 billion VND; and at the same time allocated resources to support the construction of facilities to serve cultural and sports activities at units, creating conditions for union members to improve their health, strengthen exchanges and connections. Other welfare programs for union members are regularly implemented such as: "Tet Sum vay", "Trade Union Home", "Trade Union Meal", program "Trade Union Tet Market", cooperation agreements with many partners providing preferential products and services for workers, researching and building annual resort regimes...
Agribank Trade Union continues to be the core force in launching and organizing patriotic emulation movements, arousing the spirit of innovation, creativity and responsibility of officials and employees. Emulation movements are implemented closely linked to professional tasks, aiming to complete business targets according to the Resolution of the Member Council of Agribank, and at the same time encourage officials and employees to actively study, research, promote initiatives, improve professional skills, apply science and technology and digital transformation in banking operations.
