Commercial electricity increased by 10.25%
On July 8, Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) organized a conference to summarize production and business, construction investment in the first 6 months of 2026 and deploy tasks for the remaining months of the year, combined with a thematic workshop on management and operation of the hot season. The conference was chaired by Mr. Ngo Tan Cu - Member of the Member Council, General Director of EVNCPC.

In the first 6 months of 2026, EVNCPC ensures safe, continuous and stable power supply, meeting the needs of socio-economic development, national defense - security and people's lives in the Central - Central Highlands region in the context of increased load due to prolonged hot weather.
Commercial electricity of the entire Corporation reached 14,450 million kWh, an increase of 10.25% compared to the same period and completing 50.34% of the annual plan. Maximum load capacity reached 4,956 MW, an increase of 19.3% compared to the same period in 2025 and 10.1% higher than the maximum load level of the whole year 2025.
The rate of power loss was maintained at 3.34%, 0.31% lower than the plan assigned by EVN; the average power outage time is 60.88 minutes/customer.
The business and customer service sector continues to record many positive results. The average processing time for electricity supply procedures reached 1.76 days/project, exceeding the planned target. The rate of electronicization of the entire electricity service provision process, customers using electricity services in a digital environment, non-cash electricity payment and electricity bill collection all reached 100%.
In the implementation of electricity demand management programs, EVNCPC has worked with 1,164 customers participating in the load shift program, reaching a 100% signing rate, with a potential shift of nearly 91 MW. The voluntary electricity load adjustment program has 1,925 customers signing agreements to participate, with a potential adjustment of more than 255 MW, contributing to reducing pressure on the power system at times of high load increases.
Construction investment continues to be promoted with 125 projects completed in the first 6 months of the year, with a disbursed value of more than 2,234 billion VND; 7 projects started and 7 110 kV power grid projects energized according to plan. Completed projects contribute to improving power supply capacity, meeting socio-economic development needs in localities.
Along with production and business tasks, EVNCPC has spent more than 8.3 billion VND to implement social security activities in the Central - Central Highlands provinces and cities; continuing to take care of jobs, income and lives of workers.
Determination to complete the annual plan
Speaking to direct at the conference, Chairman of EVNCPC Member Council Nguyen Thanh acknowledged and praised the results the Corporation achieved in the first 6 months of 2026.

He assessed that basic production and business targets were completed, operating efficiency continued to improve; commercial electricity output grew by over 10%, exceeding the average growth scenario and approaching the high growth plan. Work on ensuring labor safety, financial safety and information safety is maintained.
Regarding the tasks for the last 6 months of the year, the Chairman of the Members' Council requested units to focus on performing well 5 key task groups. First of all, proactively ensure safe and stable operation of the power system in conditions that are both peak hot weather and enter the rainy and storm season; closely follow local power development plans and plans to promptly propose investment solutions to ensure electricity supply.
Concluding the conference, General Director of EVNCPC Ngo Tan Cu acknowledged and praised the efforts of the units in the first 6 months of the year when ensuring safe and continuous power supply, meeting the needs of socio-economic development and people's lives in extreme weather conditions, continuous load setting new peaks. The Corporation also well completed many planned targets, maintained labor safety, traffic safety, information safety and achieved positive results in auditing and corporate governance.
Regarding the tasks for the last 6 months of the year, the General Director of EVNCPC requested units to proactively develop plans to ensure the safe operation of the power system during the rainy and storm season; improve the reliability of power supply, reduce incidents on the power grid, especially medium-voltage power grid incidents that directly affect customers.
The General Director of EVNCPC also requested units to maintain the goal of not allowing labor accidents to occur; strengthen network security, information security, effectively implement digital transformation, improve the efficiency of the organizational model after arrangement, and promote the role and responsibility of heads in operating and organizing task implementation.
I propose that all units continue to organize production in the direction of efficiency, effectiveness, and efficiency; strengthen decentralization and delegation of power in parallel with improving responsibility, inspection, and supervision, determined to comprehensively complete the targets and tasks of the 2026 plan", General Director of EVNCPC Ngo Tan Cu emphasized.
