On August 3, 2022, the Prime Minister approved the project "Vietnamese Language Honor Day in the Overseas Vietnamese Community for the period 2023 - 2030", taking September 8 every year as the Day to honor Vietnamese language, national cultural identity, and enhance national pride and self-esteem.
Implementing the policy of the Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese annually organize the program "Lovely Vietnamese Gala" with the theme "Words of the homeland - Faithful words".
Interwoven with artistic performances expressing the spirit and intelligence of the Vietnamese people, as well as the depth of the country's culture and history, are activities that inspire the love and dedication to preserving the Vietnamese language and the national cultural identity of the Vietnamese community across five continents, such as: Vietnamese bookcases, teaching and learning Vietnamese, developing Vietnamese language teaching curriculum for the Vietnamese community abroad, the launching ceremony of the Vietnamese Language Honor Day in Korea, Japan, the Vietnamese Language Honor Ceremony in France, Czech Republic, and the reportage of the journey of bringing Vietnamese culture to the world by young people...
In particular, excellent candidates who won the title of "Vietnamese Ambassador" Contest 2024 will be honored at the award ceremony of the 2024 Dear Vietnamese Gala "Words of the homeland - Words of steadfastness".
The program received active and enthusiastic response and participation from about 700 delegates representing departments, ministries, branches, central and local agencies, language and culture experts, press agencies and overseas Vietnamese delegates.
With its large scale, strong influence and unique content, the Vietnamese Gala Night will be a meaningful spiritual gift for overseas Vietnamese, and at the same time express gratitude to individuals and organizations at home and abroad who have actively contributed to activities honoring the Vietnamese language, as well as practical activities promoting the learning and use of Vietnamese in the community.
