Mr. Nguyen Dang Thang - Director of VNPT Fintech affirmed that fintech is developing according to 3 new trends. Therefore, fintech people need more skills and knowledge than just know about finance and technology.
Sharing the same view, Ms. Le Hien Trang - Director of Strategy & Communications, CIMB Bank in Vietnam said that a credit institution with up to 80% of employees working outside the industry can still succeed, as long as they have a ready-to-innovate mindset, as CIMB Vietnam is operating.
The new thinking mentioned is Digital Maverick - simply understood as daring to think independently, creatively, challenging traditional standards, seeking unique approaches in the digital space and of course daring to fail.
Talking about independent thinking and daring to challenge traditional standards, Mr. Phung Anh Tuan - Chairman and General Director of F88, shared about independent thinking in the early days of a business.
At that time, many people stopped me from making things for the hoard, but I realized that this was a state-licensed profession with a fairly good market with more than 50% of people of working age who had not met the conditions for bank loans, so I was very steadfast in this business model Mr. Tuan said.

They open a store, we open a transaction office. That is a different thought!. Mr. Tuan hopes that the story of F88 can inspire young people to think differently, dare to do things differently from tradition because there will always be opportunities in difference.
Contributing to encouraging young people to express their spirit of daring to think differently, doing differently, daring to fight and daring to fail, F88 and the Banking Academy have announced the FinS park competition. This is considered the first program to support talent development in the fintech field in Vietnam.
The FinStark competition consists of 3 stages. From February 21 to March 16 is the Talent Search round, which is the stage when the Organizing Committee receives and screens the application to find suitable candidates.
From March 24 to April 11, there will be an intensive training round, focusing on conveying knowledge and development thinking based on the specific project of the candidate.
From April 14 to May 24 is the Real War round, which will focus on evaluating the effectiveness of the project and putting the product into testing, application...
The Final Night took place on May 30 with a prize structure of 1 first prize worth 50,000,000 VND, a second prize worth 30,000,000 VND, a third prize worth 15,000,000 VND and 4 consolation prizes worth 5,000,000 VND each.
