The event marks a strategic turning point in Nam A Bank's efforts to internationalize sustainable capital sources. This is one of the key activities within the framework of the visit and working trip of the senior leadership delegation of Nam A Bank in Europe, aimed at realizing the goal of "greening" business operations and expanding the network of partners who are international financial institutions.

Accordingly, Proparco and Nam A Bank will focus on promoting the development and mobilization of sustainable green financial resources. The focus of this cooperation revolves around the Green Finance Community - a pioneering initiative proposed by Nam A Bank at the Vietnam International Finance Center (VIFC - HCMC).
Therefore, cooperation with a large financial institution like Proparco not only helps share international resources but also creates synergy, contributing to realizing VIFC's goals. - Ho Chi Minh City becomes an attractive destination for green capital flows and sustainable development for Vietnam.
This cooperation is a solid foundation for the two organizations to move towards implementing specific plans, expected to open up more extensive cooperation opportunities in the coming time, contributing to promoting green financial initiatives and sustainable development in the Vietnamese market.
In addition, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding takes place in the context that Proparco is in the process of evaluating and promoting the provision to Nam A Bank of a capital grant of 30 million USD with a term of 5 years to finance the bank's green credit portfolio.

Proparco's funding objective is consistent with Nam A Bank's long-term development orientation in promoting the "greening" strategy of business operations. In the past time, Proparco has implemented the KYC process, comprehensive assessment and conducted direct appraisal at Nam A Bank.
Representatives of Proparco highly appreciated the stable growth and efforts to maintain safe operations of Nam A Bank in the face of economic fluctuations. In particular, Nam A Bank's deep integration of Environment & Society (E&S) standards into the operating process is considered by Proparco as an important foundation for the two sides to move towards more extensive cooperation opportunities.
A representative of Nam A Bank said: "The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation is not only a recognition of the trust of an international development financial institution in Nam A Bank, but also an important step forward in the journey of integration and raising our operating standards. We believe that Proparco's companionship will create a foundation for Nam A Bank not only to expand green financial resources, but also to spread sustainable development values to the business community and the Vietnamese economy.
Proparco is a development finance institution of France, established in 1977 and is a member of the French Development Agency (Agence Française de Développement - AFD), specializing in providing capital and financial support to the private sector in developing and emerging countries. In terms of operating scale, by the end of 2025 Proparco has total assets of about 9.1 billion EUR, with a loan and investment portfolio of about 8.4 billion EUR and a network of more than 25 international offices.
This organization is currently operating in about 115 countries, has implemented more than 900 projects with a total investment value exceeding 10 billion EUR globally, and commits to investing billions of euros each year in private sector development projects in emerging markets.
Through this Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation, Nam A Bank continues to connect an important piece in its sustainable development strategy, in which it persistently pursues the two pillars of "Digitalization and Greening" that the Bank has persistently built for many years. When capital flows are "greened", Vietnamese businesses will have the opportunity to access abundant financial resources at optimal costs. This is an important launching pad to improve national competitiveness and affirm Vietnam's position on the global economic map.
