With 17 years of accompanying and developing with the market, in your opinion, what are the important trends and changes of the Vietnamese market and investors? How has SSIAM adapted to that, madam?
- Over the past 17 years, SSIAM has always accompanied the market and customers in its own way. Starting with SSI Vision Fund - the largest closed-end fund in the market in 2007 with a total scale of 1,700 billion when closing the fund, we have grown strongly with many types of funds and trust portfolios for investors . The most memorable milestone is probably the establishment and mobilization of SSIAM's first public open-end fund, SSI Sustainable Competitive Advantage Investment Fund (SSI - SCA). That event has transformed SSIAM's service provision level from providing to a small group of institutional investors to providing to the public with many individual investors, significantly expanding SSIAM's development opportunities, product range, and operations.
SSIAM understands that each customer has a different investment taste, risk tolerance, goals and financial capabilities in each stage of life. How can customers come to SSIAM at any stage, they also find a financial solution suitable for themselves and the current economic context. Therefore, SSIAM is always a pioneer in providing new products, on convenient trading platforms, persistently building with the goal of becoming a companion to the success of customers as the motto "Accompanying to success" SSIAM sets out.
What makes SSIAM different in value to its customers?
- Our philosophy when selecting investments is "Quality at a reasonable price" - in other words, we select investments based on the solid fundamentals of the business, focus on competitive advantages and corporate governance quality, and invest at attractive valuations to minimize risks. We do not select investments based on a short-term vision, but always look for the true value of that investment.
Managing risk in investing is, for us, as important as seeking returns. Returns are only half the picture, the more visible half. The risks that the portfolio is taking are less visible. In order to maintain a consistently high rate of return, in addition to the right approach, discipline and a support system for effective decision making are required.

The trend of investing in open-end funds is increasing, especially for those who do not have much investment capital at a time. How has SSIAM prepared to be able to anticipate this trend, Madam?
- As I shared, the establishment and mobilization of the public open-end fund SSI - SCA (SSI Sustainable Competitive Advantage Investment Fund) has significantly expanded the development opportunities, product range, as well as the operation of SSIAM. While closed-end funds have a certain term of operation, open-end funds are not subject to this limitation. Using small capital contributions from many investors into a large capital flow to invest in potential businesses, open-end funds free up a lot of effort and time to find investment opportunities for the non-professional public.
Vietnam has always been an attractive investment story for domestic and foreign investors, with a strong economic growth, a population of over 100 million, a young and highly educated population, a growing middle class and the country’s increasing participation in the global supply chain. Therefore, in addition to developing the domestic market, SSIAM is actively penetrating a number of potential international markets.
In parallel, SSIAM has been vigorously developing the company's official communication channels to bring official information to domestic and foreign investors. At the same time, we are constantly developing and improving convenient online trading channels to make investing easier.
