Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) and the ecosystem - represented by Ky Thuong Life Insurance Joint Stock Company (Techcom Life) - have just received 3 awards from The Asian Banker. This achievement affirms Techcombank's position in the application of artificial intelligence (AI), digital platforms and customer-centered financial solutions. Specifically, Techcombank was honored in the category "Best AI Technical Initiative in Asia - Pacific Region"; Techcom Life won two awards for Best Life Insurance Product in Vietnam for Techcom Life Max Vung Vang and Best Life Insurance Technology in Vietnam for iProtek platform.
Accordingly, Techcombank was awarded the Best AI Technical Initiative in the Asia-Pacific region at the AI Excellence Awards 2026 of The Asian Banker thanks to pioneering the implementation of Agentic Platform, a platform to coordinate AI Agents throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This achievement demonstrates an AI application strategy to improve operational efficiency, promote innovation and improve customer experience.
Meanwhile, Techcom Life was also honored by The Asian Banker at The Asian Banker Vietnam Awards 2026 with two awards. In which, the Universal Life Techcom Life Max Vung Vang product was awarded the Best Life Insurance Product in Vietnam; and iProtek - a digital platform integrating AI for business and customer care - won the Best Life Insurance Technology in Vietnam award.
The three awards were awarded after an independent and rigorous evaluation process by the research and editing council of The Asian Banker.
During the appraisal process, The Asian Banker highly appreciated Techcombank for deploying Agentic AI on a business-wide scale. Through AI assistants supporting the entire SDLC process, from architectural design, nghiệp vụ analysis to software development and testing, this platform helps improve productivity, increase coordination and shorten product launch time, thereby affirming Techcombank's pioneering role in technology innovation in the financial industry.
