The quality of raw materials will be strictly controlled and an information platform will be developed to help businesses stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in the industry.
This Center is expected to help Vietnam better control its production materials, especially in the context of many fluctuations in international trade.
When completed, the center will not only support the domestic textile and footwear industry but also help ensure that Vietnam can reduce its dependence on imported raw materials, especially from countries that are applying stricter environmental policies.
According to Deputy Director of the Department of Industry - Mr. Pham Tuan Anh, the textile and footwear industries are Vietnam's key export industries, contributing significantly to the country's total export turnover with an average annual growth rate of 10%. However, manufacturers are currently facing challenges from dependence on imported raw materials, especially from China, South Korea and other ASEAN countries.
The establishment of a domestic raw material center will not only reduce risks from fluctuations in the international market but also enhance the production capacity of this industry in Vietnam. This new center will support the expansion of production scale and enhance business efficiency of domestic enterprises.
