World gold price rising standing
Gold prices have witnessed strong growth in recent years, while the stock market has experienced great fluctuations. This precious metal is currently trading around US $ 3,300/ounce, highlighting a new record high.
Gold price has increased by 25% in the first 4 months of 2025, and increased by 40% in the past year.
In particular, gold price only ranges about 2,350 USD/ounce in April 2024, according to data from CNBC-TV18. This means that gold price has increased by nearly 1,000 USD/ounce in just one year. Gold price increased nearly 64% from 2,000 USD/ounce in April 2023. Gold increased sharply by 90% from 1,725 USD/ounce in April 2021.

Many factors have caused gold prices to increase sharply. The instability surrounding the US trade policy, weakening the dollar, along with the interest rate of the US Treasury bonds, which are some reasons why investors switched to safe shelter as gold. In particular, the increasing global debt also promotes cash flow into gold ETFs.
According to the analysis of CNBC-TV18, from 2001 to now, the price of gold has decreased greatly over a number of years. However, the current gold price is reaching a record high, including on the Indian market. The June gold contract on the MCX floor has first surpassed 95,000 rupee on April 16.
There is a point to note, according to the goldsmiths cited by CNBC-TV18, no new customers buy gold in the Indian market, because the price is too high that customers bring old gold to exchange. This is leading to a strong discount in the Indian market.
