18 contents of State management of land

Article 20 of the 2024 Land Law (effective from August 2024) stipulates the content of State management of land as follows:

1. Promulgate and organize the implementation of legal documents on land management and use.

2. Propaganda, dissemination, education, training, scientific research, technology development, international cooperation in land management and use.

3. Determine administrative unit boundaries, establish and manage administrative unit boundary records.

4. Measuring, adjusting, creating cadastral maps, land use status maps, land use planning maps and specialized maps on land management and use.

5. Investigation, assessment and protection, improvement and restoration of land.

6. Establish, adjust and manage land use planning and plans.

7. Land allocation, land lease, land recovery, recognition of land use rights, land requisition, and change of land use purpose.

8. Investigate, develop land price list, specific land price, manage land price.

9. Land financial management.

10. Compensation, support, and resettlement when the State reclaims or requisitions land.

11. Land development, management and exploitation.

12. Land registration, establishment and management of cadastral records; issuance, correction, revocation and cancellation of certificates.

13. Land statistics and inventory.

14. Building, managing, operating and exploiting the National Land Information System.

15. Manage and supervise the implementation of rights and obligations of land users.

16. Resolving land disputes; resolving complaints and denunciations about land.

17. Providing and managing public services on land.

18. Inspect, examine, supervise, monitor and evaluate compliance with land law provisions and handle violations of land law.

Thus, from August 2024, the content of State management of land is regulated as above.
